Foteini Baldimtsi is a rising star in the world of cryptography and blockchain technologies. Her talk is a practical guide on how blockchain has brought about the revolution of bitcoin, a currency that is not printed on paper by a bank but created by users who "run" Bitcoin software around the world. What else can we expect by this amazing technology and how will it change the way transactions are made in the 21st century? Foteini addresses the opportunities and risks and invites us all to appreciate cryptography's contribution to the digital age.
